Visitng Depaul art museum.

I visited Depaul museum with my group. It is located at 935 West Fullerton street. The museum building consist of two floors. First floor shows general art works from Depaul students and other. The second floor currently shows 90s ink paper works.

The Above artwork is called The Justice Chair by Gerda Meyer Bernstein. it was the most interesting art work because before i read the explanation of the art work, my first impression was it reminded me of  Pirates of the Caribbean. it looked like had stayed in the ocean floor for a while. However, the artist named as justice Chair. If you see deeply on the floor, there are a lot of name cards that are prisoners who were held there as of 2012.
The Above artworks is located second floor that is about  how 90s people lived. It mostly showed 90s peoples' fashion and industrial development. The special aspects of 90s ink paper politics is that focused on political things into artwork, yet it hard to determine from the works. If you look at it deeply you can figure out.

David Bowie

David Bowie was born in Brixton on January 8, 1947. He is musician and actress. What i realized when i saw his works was that he is multiple artist and he has lead a contemporary art of Music and fashion. I assumed that his works have symbolized modern rock, such as art and fashion. Particularly, David Bowie's fashions have shown a lot of sexual exploration, which affected on new perspective of human being in early 1960s.
The art work that i attached above is diamond dog by Guy Peellaert. it is a tour poster. it was an impressive to me. it is half men and haf dog, which i personally think that he described himself as an undeveloped animal. I assume that he might want audience not to be human. He probably wanted audience to left everything and enjoyed his concert.

Even though his music and artworks were great, his fashion caught my attention because it is the Avant garde fashion. Some of works were understable if i think of his previous work. However, some of works are difficult to comprehend several ways. For example, the picture that i attached. I think that he got inspired in Asian cultures. As you can see under picture, he got inspired particularly Japanese culture.

I watched Jean michel basquiat movie last week. I was surprised that David Bowie acted as an Andy Warhol in the movie. Overall, the David Bowie exhibition was surprisingly good experience because many artists are surrounding me. However, i have not seen a multiple artist like David bowie.

Basquiat

The movie, Basquiat remained me a lot of questions. The main actor Jean Michel Basquiat was a painter that died on August 12th 1988 of a heroin overdose when he was 27 years old. The movie is about Jean Michel Baquiat's life that how he became a famous painter. The movie started with mom's crying, which the movie is not going to be happyending. The first question is that i do not understand why the director described sky as a sea. The sea showed up frequently during the movie. I personally assume that it showed a freedom because whenever Basquiat got a trouble, it kept showing up. The second question is when he just became famous, he got a interview and the guy asked Baquiat that "are you angry" i do not get this point too. It is too sudden. In the movie, there was still existed the racial discrimination. The one of the scene was impressive on me that when Basquiat went to a restaurant, guys who sat behind him insulted him about racial things. Therefore, Basquiat paid the guys bill. I wanted to see what happen after paying the guy's bill. However, it did not show up.
The most confusing part was that he was crying while he saw Andy. I was curious that what kind of relationship between Andy and Basquiat were. Overall, the movie is difficult to understand. Moreover, it remained a lot of questions.
